Istra je najveće jadransko poluostrvo koje se nalazi na severoistočnoj obali Jadrana. Najvećim delom se nalazi u Hrvatskoj i Sloveniji, a jedan deo pripada i Italiji.

Plitvička jezera nisu deo Istre, ali su zapravo veoma blizu, pa ih nikako ne smete propustiti, ako se ovde nađete, jer ovo je pravi raj na zemlji....pogledajte o Plitvicama ovde
